For one week each semester all of the fraternities on campus conduct a "Rush" period. During this week, each house will open its doors to prospective new members. Any student of West Virginia University who is interested in becoming a part of Greek life is welcome to visit the houses, meet the brothers, and learn more about their respective fraternity. Rush is a dry week, meaning no alcohol will be served to potential new members. "Rushing" a fraternity does not obligate you in any way to join, and anyone who is interested in the Greek community is encouraged to rush as many houses as they like. It is always best to visit a number of houses and meet a number of brothers so that you can be sure you are choosing the fraternity that is right for you.

There are countless ways in which SAE has distinguished itself as a fraternity, both at the national level, and here at West Virginia University. SAE is the largest fraternity in the United States with over 280,000 initiated members and over 200 chapters nationwide. WV Gamma is a leader among the greek community on campus. We have numerous brothers on the Inter Fraternity Council, officers in Student Government and leaders in the community. Beyond that, our fraternity has a strictly enforced, and strictly obeyed, no-hazing policy. Our actions and behavior are governed by the true gentleman. It is more than simplyt a paragraph that each member knows by heart, it is a lifestyle. Joining our order will ensure great times, great connections and great memories. It will also provide you with an unparalleled opportunity to serve your community through numerous service projects conducted throughout the year. Would you like to know more about pledging Sigma Alpha Epsilon? Please feel free to contact our recruitment chair or stop by the house, during rush week or any other time. If you'd like, you can even fill out a recruitment form here. |
